Leisure activities:
Ferlach is located south of Klagenfurt in the center of the Rosental on the Drau, which is dammed here to form the Ferlach reservoir. The Sattnitz Mountains stretch north of Ferlach; rise south
the Karawanken with the “local mountain” Ferlacher Horn (1840 m). Ferlach is only 10 km from the Slovenian border. The sights in the area are Lake Wörthersee, Lake Faak, the Tscheppaschlucht (largest gorge in Carinthia), the historic old town of Klagenfurt and Hochosterwitz Castle.

Tournament fee:                                          €600  per team
Accompanying person full board:            €160  (full board Fri-Sun)
Accompanying person breakfast only:    €108  (breakfast Sat+Sun)
Player package:                                           €195 (full board Fri-Sun)
Single room supplement:                           €26 per night


Tournament package companion:
The price includes overnight accommodation from Friday to Sunday + tourist tax including full board from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch 

Tournament contribution:
Included are the costs for referees, medical services and timekeeping staff

Hotel Booking:
The price mentioned above refers to accommodation at the Sporthotel Ferlach, located directly at the ice rink. With approximately eight or more tournament teams, the Sporthotel may be overbooked. In this case, we kindly ask that the Sporthotel primarily accommodate players, coaches, and trainers. For parents and accompanying persons, we can offer the Hotel zur Post in Ferlach, which is about two kilometers from the ice rink.

Karawanken Cup tournament schedule


Playtime

  •     2 x 20 minutes continuously
  •     5 minute break at half time
  •     Ice preparation after every game

Game mode 8 teams

  •  Group games:

Two groups with four teams each. In the groups everyone plays against everyone. A win counts as 2 points, a draw as 1 point.  If there is a tie on points in the groups, the direct comparison is the deciding factor, then the goal difference. 

 

  • Placement games:

If there is a draw in the placement games after regular time, a penalty shootout will take place immediately (3 penalties). If there is still a tie after three penalties, shooting continues in the same order in sudden death mode until the winner is determined. 

Rules of the game

The regular IIHF rules apply.
A game misconduct penalty will result in a game suspension.
A match penalty is punishable by a minimum two-game ban.

Each team receives a trophy. 


Referee, timekeeper

Are provided by the organizer.


Drinks

The organizer will provide water/fruit during the tournament


Liability

The organizer assumes no liability for injuries and theft!

  • No national game passes necessary!
  • Playing up is always allowed, girls can play down. The younger generation of the next age group is permitted here.
